Well i went down my mates yesterday and he didnt seem to think it be too hard. So taking the car down there tuesday or wednesday to do it Cant wait. Need a short private plate as well

Done quite a bit since June. New interior, new alloys (two sets) and new coilovers.
In the middle of sorting out the most important mod of all. So probably wont be that manyl updates till thats done. Car should hopefully be finished by Jan/Feb ready for UD 2012 May update with new photos of interior and wheels after ADI in two weeks

Cheers fella. I think it was about £25 off www.ebay.com. No never done it myself got the place who wrapped my roof and spoiler to do it.
But there are a few threads around explaining how to do it. Dont think its hard at all just was easier to let them do it when they done the other bits :thumbsup:

Well been a while since i've done a proper update simple reason kept falling in an out of love with my car. The project should of been finished ages ago but seems every time i get close something comes up or i end up out of work. Anyway got new coilovers on JOM ones, ordered custom springs earlier to get the front down a bit more, got the RS6 grille fitted and a bought new alloys and hopefully another getting a set of 19s next week. And bought a whole new interior at a bargain price of £200 first would like to thank Warren Lord for doing me the huge favour of checking them out for me, collecting them and storing them till i came up Manchester to get them. Was good to see Warren and his drive looked lovely with both A3s on the drive. Once again thanks for all your help with the interior :thumbsup:
I did get a photo of our cars together but my blackberry broke so cant get the photo off it.
Was buzzing last time i did a little update in here as i paid a deposit for loads of bits for an engine conversion and was hoping to get it all in and running by the end of the year/early next year. But the guy messaged me early monday morning to say he so sorry and he sold everything and will refund me my deposit. 5days before it was suppose to be delivered! AR$EH0L£ and still no refund! Bonus i now have another job will start on monday only part time though. But better than nothing.
I'm just gonna call Statller get a confirmed booking date and save save save


Sold the S3 alloys back at the end of June was sad to see them go considering i had them since 2008. Then i bought Bentley GTC 5spoke 19s off ebay the day before i was suppose to get them the guy emailed me to say he sold them for more than we agreed and will refund my money :| So was pretty ****** off and only had less than 48hours to find new alloys. And i only wanted 19s, Like to thank a few of the lads on here who kept an eye out and sent me links to alloys(Paolo, Rye & Chris).
In the end i decided to get something half decent as i was running out of time and the car would of been on axle stands. So bought some genuine anthracite BBS CK's with near enough brand new tyres. At first wasnt too sure on them as they were alot lighter than the anthracite colour on my old S3 alloys. After a while i started to like them but they were only really temp wheels for Audi In The Park which i didnt even end up going to & Audi Driver International which i did go to and the plan was to sell them on and get 19s.
Audi Driver was a good day out with the 8P lads and think we would all agree had a huge laugh. Farhan & Ash (Itwasntme) are a double act had me crying when we had lunch. Was probably one of the best turns out for the 8Ps i've ever seen since going to Audi Driver and a few other shows. Also bought another set of BBS 18 Split rims got them at a steal with brand new tyres, would of been rude to say no. Wont be uploading any photos of them till they are fitted (thats if they even get fitted) and may give them the centres a refurb first. BBS CKs are for sale and hopefully going next week so i can make way for some 19s.

Anyway here some photos from when i first got the CKs fitted and a photoshoot last sunday with my friend James Merriman.

Front at the lowest it will go and doesnt have any helper springs for me to remove. I also refuse to raise the rear. So thats why i ordered custom front springs to get another 20-25mm

Nice one fella Yes most of the time i do and only once had them ask why i had no plate on start of this year. But i was in a kind of a dodgy location in the town centre and the car was blacked out and all you could see was the front headlights. I just said the screws rotted and i need to get new ones. Other than that they been fine. And i wish i had a private plate that said ASH B It's a show plate i just put on for the shoot and shows. My mate ran the same style plates on his S3 and never had anything said but that was on the front only.

Thanks Tim, dont really want to raise the rear and plus cant find the adjusters New alloys will be 9J rears so hopefully sit a bit better will look at spacers then as i shouldnt be changing them for a while then. There is not much room clearance between the inner arch and tyre as it is. Get some photos up of yours fella, aint seen any for ages. Get a thread on the go to Yeah running JOMs have been since late June. Whats your thoughts on them? Wish they would go lower

this may sound like a bit of a stupid question but have your coilovers got built in bumpstops like mine have if they have are the oem bumpstops still on there i only ask because i had the same problem with mine it was sitting too high on the front so i removed the oem bumpstops and she went down about another 10mm just a thought matey , oh and you know my thoughts on the new photo's james has got some skills man can't wait for him to do some more of mine
