1.8TFSI 8P2 - Cambelt or Chain?

Hello all,

Looking for some clarification on something as I'm being told conflicting information from Audi and my local Audi specialist. I have a 8P2 57' Plate 1.8TFSI A3 and would like to know if it has a cambelt or a timing chain.

I've seen threads from others stating that they've had the cambelt changed on their 2.0TFSI same year but not read anything about the 1.8TFSI engine.

Thanks for your reply. I saw that, and again saw a few conflicting issues so just wanted to confirm on here.

Just to make sure then mate I'd try another Audi dealer or try your local Tps.

May not be your engine though just did a brief search for 1.8tfsi
