    Hello guys

I have one problem, 1.8T AJQ with K04-023 setup and BAM Engine harness (changed both parts)

    I got two faults:

17070- ECM Power Relay Control Circuit
    P0686 - 35-00 - Short to GND

    18010- Power Supply Terminal 30
    P1602 -35-10 - Voltage too Low - Intermittent

I can delete 18010 code but not the first one.
If i disconnect N75, N249, EGT or knock sensor i dont get any fault code
But i get a fault code if i disconnect MAF, coolant temp sensor or intake air temp sensor

    Can someone help me?

    Thanks

Check your old harness (the one with a longer ECU connector on it). Does it have a wire on pin 21?

yes both, AJQ and BAM harness with purple wire on pin21

Could be bad relay 428? but car starts normally

Check the relay, yes. Is it there? Some old narrowband engines do not use such relay at all.

Tried relay 428 from AJQ harness which is 100% OK and car wont start, just cranking
I have opened BAM relay and found that someone has modified relay (switch is always ON)
I think there is a harness problem right? Relay dont get a power on 86 or ground on 85.

If someone else has been there before (tampering with things) anything is possible :).
That relay powers the ignition coils and the dbw part of the ecu, so you will need it to work if you have already converted to wideband.
Some early narrowband looms/ecus do not use that relay, in those cars everyhing is powered by the fuel pump relay instead.
The relay is switched on/off by the ECU (pin21 to relay coil GND).
