1.8T or 2.0 SFI

The 1.8T wins my vote over the 2.0FSI - hands down.

I prefer the power deliver of a turbocharged engine. Especially the 1.8t. When driven sensibly can return upwards of 35mpg. A simple ECU remap will deliver 180-200bhp.

So in my opinion the 1.8t is a far better option than the 2.0 FSI N/A engine especially if you plan to increase the power.

OP changed the title from 2.0 TFSI to 2.0 SFI :tocktock: yes 1.8T is much better than 2.0 N/A. Google is your friend.

I use to drive a Jetta with the 2.0FSI engine and to be honest it was a pile of poo! No torque and you had to rev it hard to make any decent progress which even then was average at best. My vote goes to the 1.8T much better engine however the 2.0TFSI engine is better again.

1.8t for the win... Long run at 65/70 my mpg gets up in the mid 40's! Plus a bit of boost is always handy.

163 mine mate, remap soon which will take it to 200ish (revo) and even more mpg :) love the 1.8t engine, had a couple now, last was a 190 (red) T saloon which was just as good on fuel.
