1.4 engine - any good?

Hi garage where I bought my current 8.5 from have said they can do a deal against a 2016 1.4 petrol A4, however I thought it sounded a bit underpowered for a big car but they assure me it’s just as punchy as my 2.0 diesel.
I’m still not convinced, can any current owners help out here please?

It’s not underpowered at all. You’re not going to be short on power but, you’re also not blowing anyone away at the lights. However, after doing 86,000 miles I love this wee engine and it does surprise me how well it performs
