Hi guys

While changing the oil last week (2002 1.8t) I noticed one of the pipes was split. This was the part number 06a103213af. I don't have a picture but came across this pic on my searches: http://www.ttforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=326385. This is the same split.

The part cost £45 from TPS which seems a little excessive. I appreciate genuine parts may cost a little more, but my gut feeling is that this is too much.

What is this pipe called? I am thinking about calling around some breakers, but I have no idea what I am asking for....

The TT forum suggests a silicon alternative. Can anybody suggest supplier?

I was thinking of doing a bodge while I find a solution. Can I tape it up?

Please advise

Thanksk

Try our parts request system.

Its the PCV pipe and yes for a plastic part its expensive but you can buy pattern parts from eBay much more cheaply or even silicon replcements
