046A NO abs or esp lights

Hi all. First Post here...

I have an A3 8P 2008 170bhp tronic.

I have the main red brake light fault saying take it to a garage.

NO esp or abs lights.
Had on a diagnostic. BOSCH 046A .. no other codes
Checked fuses. All fine
Checked battery all good.
Had in the garage and checked abs is working.. works fine.
All brakes good. Drives perfectly.

Just can't get this error code to stay off!

Any thoughts?

Have you checked pad wear?

Brake fluid level ok?
Also, i had similar on my a4 b6 and i put a teaspoon of brake fluid in & pressed the sensor/switch in the reservoir a few times to check it was ok & it's been fine since.
