£60 to reprogramme key fob - is that right??

Hi all,

The key fob on my A4 has stopped working :-( Have tried numerous methods suggested on various websites but to no avail. So, have booked in car at the stealers and they've quoted me £60!! Am i being ripped off here?? Surely its no more than 5mins work??

sorry but you are deffo being ripped off!!

my battery went dead a few months ago, took it to the dealers to get a battery expecting the pay for reprogramming, and they done it all free!! took less that a minute to sort out!! and the cost....£2 including battery and reprograming!!

i also found the suggested methods on websites to be no good, which stealers you going to?

Change the battery, stick it in the ignition & start the car, see if it resyncs as it should do, if not the vagcom it to sync again whic link in my sig shows local members to you willing.
