Audi R8 V10 Spyder

Hi Guys, thanks for checking out another thread.

Heres an Audi R8 in for a good once over! We booked the car for a some paint correction to certain panels after the dealership managed to install some free scratches after a new windscreen was fitted. We also carried out a full nano protection including fabric sealant.

Here is the car on arrival.

general condition of the car. Nothing too bad, but in need of a thorough tidy up

Free dealer scratches

Other marks and etching around the car

Lint, fluff & hair on the roof

So, on with the job. First up was to dampen the roof, apply a specific roof fabric cleaner. We let this soak in for 20 mins then cleaned thoroughly and rinsed.

The wheels were next up

8.jpg

Then the vehicle was snow foamed, this was left to dwell to soften up any dirt on the vehicle then rinsed.

9.jpg

Any intricate areas were cleaned with a soft Swissvax brush

11.jpg

The rest of the vehicle was then washed with our two bucket safe method and deep pile sheepskin wash mitt.

12.jpg

Any bonded contaminants were taken care off also at this point.

13.jpg

The vehicle was then dried with compressed air and chemically stripped of any waxes/oils to reveal the true condition of the paint

14.jpg

Then, the marks below were removed via machine polishing!

Once the paint was machine polished, we dusted down the vehicle & chemically stripped the paint to remove any polishing oils in preparation for the next stage.

The roof was then prepared for its final stage…. Nano fabric sealant to repel water and stains.

17.jpg

Here you can see a 50/50 shot of the roof sealant being applied. NB, this will dry and evaporate to being completely undetectable.

18.jpg

Then the paint sealant was applied.

The engine cover was lifted for us to be able to cover every inch of the paintwork!

21.jpg

Once this had cured, we buffed off the sealant to reveal this….

We finished off the little details like wheel arches and tyres without taking photos I'm afraid. Its all hands at the pump at the moment for Miglior!

Here is a shot of the fabric roof on the R8 to show what extent the fabric can now repel water!

Hi, car looks stunning! Is that a normal clothes lint brush you are using on the roof? Can I ask what products you use on the roof, cleaner and sealant? Would love to get the roof of my cab looking like that in time for spring!
