    April Photography Competition.

Axios I was unable to edit my post as requested as there is no edit button. It seems that you can only edit a post for a short while after its first posted. At first i thought it was because you had thanked the post which might make sense but now it seems the edit button has gone from all my...

If this came through your letterbox

I like the colour contrast and layout, the lighting is really good, just a shame she couldn't smile on the happiest day of her life ! She has a "here we go again" sort of look about her. Just my opinion :)

    Traditional Photography Anyone?

I have gone digital but it doesn’t have the definition of film, especially stuff like pan F Its like most things these days, quality is sacrificed for convenience. I have yet to see a digital flat screen TV than cope with fast moving images and give the definition of a CRT screen. Nice pics by...

Satans-child at Audis in the Park - A Photoshop Project

There is always something nice about bang on, head on and you got that spot on... I took this last week and i wasnt even at an airshow..just passing the Airfield . Slightly too fast on the shutter speed so not enough prop blur but hey...i wasnt ready :) Dont start me off on aircraft...

Satans-child at Audis in the Park - A Photoshop Project

I remember when i got this shot a few years back. Nikon D200 + sigma 500mm prime I had been dong the air show circuit for 30years trying to get this shot but never got the positioning exact. A closing speed of 800mph and a 500mm lens means its mostly guess work as you follow one...

Satans-child at Audis in the Park - A Photoshop Project

I think i am not getting my point across very well and that is my fault. Its the idea that i cant get the shot i want so i will just fake it that bothers me. I bet within a couple of minutes the people with the pram had gone....Some minor sharpening and colour correction would then have done. I...

Satans-child at Audis in the Park - A Photoshop Project

Well you called is "Satans-child at Audis in the Park " and then removed any evidence of the "Audis in the Park" meet . As a photographer i find that so many people try and get these clinicaly perfect pictures and in so doing remove a lot of the interest from them. You reach a point where rather...

Satans-child at Audis in the Park - A Photoshop Project

I appreciate what you did but its no longer at AITP is it ? Its now just an Audi in a field. You sort of lost the whole point of the photo. You might as well lasso it and put it on a cliff top with a fake sunset...It would have been far easier to take the picture you wanted in the first...

    Need a bit of feedback...

I wouldnt bother with a D90, you can get a good D200 for a lot less on E-bay. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nikon-D200-Digital-Camera-18-70mm-Lens-/180526982304?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CamerasPhoto_DigitalCameras_DigitalCameras_JN&hash=item2a083f24a0#ht_500wt_1154 I paid £430 for mine a couple of years ago...

    Need a bit of feedback...

I think it all looks pretty good to me ! My only criticism is your close up shots, I can appreciate your shallow depth of field but i think maybe your focused area is wrong, ie not the centre of the subject, I think the stamen needs to be sharp...think thats what its called...lol I think all...

few shots of my Passat soon to be replaced with an A4

I am 6ft 4" and had no trouble with leg room in the new A4 in fact in a comfortable driving position the left foot rest ( Auto) was too far away... The real problem was getting in and out through the tiny doors....lol The seat sits back behind the door pillar and the dash blocks the front 1/4...

    Canon 500D or Nikon D5000

Staz I'm a Nikon man and always have been. I use a D200 but canon are just as good. I think the point here is lenses because that where the difference will be. both camera,s are probably over kill for what they will be used for and both are severely limited by the lens you put on the front. a...
