    The New Engine Is Here!!!

Most folks do when they get scared. These particular engine combos are regularly breaking into the 1000 to 1200 hp range with the nitrous. Should make about 800hp naturally aspirated. Should be shifting around 7800rpm. Rev limiter will be set around 8200rpm.

    The New Engine Is Here!!!

It displaces 427 cubic inches (7 liters). It is a small engine compared to the "Big Block" setups that also race in my class. They run engines as big as 620 cubic inches (10.2 liters). To level the playing field, the class rules mandate 300 pounds (21.5 stones) extra to the race weight of...

    Roofs are so over rated.

He only charged me for materials which was about $600 (US) total. I wired his shop for him last summer. Gotta love the barter system. I belive he charges about $2500 for his regular customers.

Thought Id see how my chassis guy was coming along with the roll cage upgrades....was somewhat surprised when I saw this. Needless to say...he is fearless with a recipricating saw.

...And what have you done today???

Got up early this morning and painted the wheels on my 91 Mustang GT. They were looking pretty rough being they are 15 years old. I think they came out pretty well. Alot cheaper than buying a new set. Also decided to clean the car up alittle too. I just wish my camera skills were better...

What Ive been doing lately.....56k beware...

Its a 351 Windsor based block design...but in all reality...its not really a Ford engine because there are actualy no genuine Ford parts in it. Every part of the engine is aftermarket. Block is made by World Products http://www.worldcastings.com/prods_pages/087110.htm The heads are AFR 205...

What Ive been doing lately.....56k beware...

The mpg should'nt be too bad with the boost turned down. We expect 15-18 mpg with the "cruise around" tune. But with it set to "kill" we're sure it will drop well into the single digit range. I'll post the final chassis dyno and track vids as soon as it happens.

What Ive been doing lately.....56k beware...

For the last few months, besides working on my own race car, Ive been helping my engine builder with his project. I think Ive invested more hours on his car than my own, but he builds my engines and does my chassis dyno tuning for free, so its well worth it. Plus the fact that he's my best...

    My Race Car Wannabe

This cars days of going around corners are long gone. The suspension and chassis setup is totaly dedicated to the art of applying all that hp to the ground (in a straight line) via a somewhat small tire (28" tall x 10.5" wide racing slick). One could compare it to trying to go straight while...

    My Race Car Wannabe

Mmmmm. 429 "big block". Those were great engines. They're getting harder and harder to find over here. The 427 I refered to would not of been the same as the Cobra 427. The Cobra 427 was a FE Series "big block". The 427 I was going to build would of been based off of a Windsor "small...

    My Race Car Wannabe

You wouldnt want the old block. The #4 piston and rod exited through the cylender wall and onto the track. lol Thanks for the complament on the rollcage. Without it, the engine would of twisted the unibody frame into a pretzel long ago.

    My Race Car Wannabe

Instead of laying around and watching Christmas movies all day long... I thought Id do something productive and start getting the car ready for the new engine. Got it up on the jack stands and the engine/tranny unbolted and all the wiring and hoses unhooked. Its ready to pull the engine/tranny...
