    Help - P3103 V157 - Motor Intake Manifold Flap - EGR Valve...How do i solve?

Hi guys, Just wanted to pick up this excellent thread after a fair while, as I've been reading it a lot recently. My IMF failure was picked up way back in 2009, but it's only now I've got round to sorting it out! I bought my new Pierburg IMF from Murrays Direct for £177. Our 54-plate Sportback...

    New 1.6Tdi Mpg

Agree with the other posts; the smaller engine may have to be worked hard. For what it's worth, our 54-plate 2.0TDI Sportback with 46k does between 52-55mpg in normal conditions, as does my 119k Bora 1.9TDI. Whenever I use either car however it's rarely for a short journey. Interestingly, I...

    Worst experience ever.

Great news - I also felt sick reading your thread until I got to the end! What a relief.

    RNS-E A3 FOR £420 ??

I bought my RNS-E exactly three years ago on eBay for £409. I was one of two bidders and secured it with just one bid at the start of the auction. If you can afford it, this month is the best time to look and buy because of Christmas plus the recession!

Shame about the V-car listing though!

    Audi sat-nav removal tools

Remember that each removal key has to go in the correct way (do a Google search to see pictures and instructions) and also that once they're in, they don't come out until the RNS-E is out of the dash. You can press down the little metal tabs to release the keys. Gently does it!

    Best place to get tyres???

Got four 225/45/17 Kumho KU31s fitted today (£315 delivered with mobile fitter from BlackCircles). Excellent service - the guy was done in an hour with no damage to the wheels. I suppose it wouldn't have mattered if he did damage them because they all need refurbing... I picked the Kumhos...

    2.0TDI Exhaust Sensor/Flap failure?

Music to my ears (or eyes, since I'm reading it!). I've got a fair bit of DIY car mechanics experience so hopefully a swap really will be as straightforward as everyone says. Will clean out the EGR too if I can. Cheers for the post!

    Help - P3103 V157 - Motor Intake Manifold Flap - EGR Valve...How do i solve?

That's a good estimate - I was quoted £454 this morning for what I believe is the same issue. The part was £245.19 as Scopse said which effectively confirms it!

    2.0TDI Exhaust Sensor/Flap failure?

Just been out to check the fuse and F8 is still intact. However, the thread link above is perfectly detailed so it's time to roll up the sleeves!

    2.0TDI Exhaust Sensor/Flap failure?

Nice one - that sounds more like the problem that was described. Will have a look. Thanks for the responses!

    2.0TDI Exhaust Sensor/Flap failure?

Hi Boydie, thanks for the quick response. I don't have VAG-COM unfortunately, but the service guy didn't mention anything about a throttle body - this sounds much different! Good place to start though. The ECON light seems fine but I'll double-check the fuses later on.

    2.0TDI Exhaust Sensor/Flap failure?

Hi guys, The yellow engine warning light flicked on in our 2004 Sportback 2.0TDI recently and while there were no obvious problems, I took it in to Hatfield Audi this morning to ask them to diagnose it, which they did free of charge while I waited. Unfortunately, I didn't get the full...

    Sad day....

When our son was born we had our Sportback, and we'll still have it when he turns 3 years old in a couple of weeks. I agree that the storage space isn't the best (we also had to pop the wheels off the pram to get it in the boot) but the real trick is to take less stuff with you! Good luck with...

Audi Dealer Cambelt Change Price - Is this right?

Interesting - I thought it would have been more expensive. My wife used to have a Golf 1.9 TDI and the cost of replacing the belt and tensioners was something like £700. My Sportback is 5 years old this October so I think I'll be making some phone calls!

Sorry - Another Ques Re RNS-E

If you look carefully, you'll see that they are actually relative links, which means it has the folder name but no drive reference. This way the RNS-E can find the tracks, but Windows will as well if you double-click the M3U file. I'd really love to get back into the app and make improvements...

    Rear pad replacement at 35000km?!?!?!?...

Not sure if this is related in any way, but at my 4 year-old Sportback's second service at around 34,000 miles the dealer advised that the rear brake pads needed replacing. You would have thought that the fronts would wear out first but not so! Decided not to take any risks so got them replaced.
