Sorry I agree it's a known issue. Mayor dealerships are unlikely to rip you off on things like that due to reputational risk. It's not the same as Halfrauds on Kwik Fiddle!
Glad they covered under warranty.
Hi all,
Long time no speak on the A3 site.
Finally convinced my wife that Audi is the way to go, only taken 22 years!
Can anyone recommend at tinter and wrapper (for dechrome) in staffs area please?
Need to make her first Audi special after this long!
Cheers all.
ps If anyone speaks to...
Impressive stats. Due to the 25mpg avg I need to change my mapped 2.0TFSI Quattro for a 170tdi Quattro. What cost is the turbo swap and what mpg do you get.
Hi, only idea I have on the tailgate is that's it shorting somewhere, either from water or bad connection/damaged cable.
Handbrake sounds like the handbrake switch. How old is the car? Have you checked the earth connections?

Thanks everyone, I finally got the bottle changed and no problem for 2 months even when it got really cold. £20 inc top up so can't complain at all. It took us @ 5 mins and most of that was waiting for it to warm up again to check for leaks. Far easier than I thought it would be, apologies Mr...
You unclip the plastic cover over the spindle and then you will see the washer jet underneath. It simply pulls off then with a bit of force. If you put it in some limescale remover that will do the trick.
Hi, thanks for all the replies. I've topped up an no warning, but also no cold weather!! Is there a way of cleaning the sensors or is it just a matter of replacing the coolant tank as it looks a nightmare job to get out.
Thanks - I will try topping up tomorrow and see if it cures it. I've got to get the brake pads changed after christmas so may get them to flush and refill when its in, to be safe though.
My coolant warning light keeps coming on in the morning. I've checked the coolant level and thats fine. I will pop into a local garage to get them to check the mix but wondered if anyone was getting a similar problem. Its a 2.0 T quattro.
Hi Guys,
After fitting my 4th unit that still doesn't work properly I'm loosing all hope.
My car is an '06 S Line 2.0 TFSI Quattro, Double DIN with heated seats - If anyone can help I need the part number for the climate control unit for the above.
PLEASE
Could you provide any pictures of before and after and is there a certain way to remove the toggle switch or is it just a simple flick out job. Could be a popular mod?
Hi All,
Having a nightmare with my air con after upgrading to double Din. Can't get it to work when air con switch is on - Dealers have checked it and want to take the dash out to get at temp switch and they only replaced compressor 7 months ago. I originally put in a facelift unit but since...
They have plastic bolt covers on so you could just spray them or alternatively find someone with a masters degree in metallurgy and their own foundry!! Red bolts? Is Aythree having a laugh again?
Had my coil pack done as part of service - Audi recalling as technician said few instances of loosing power and cutting out so sounds like you problem. ****** of a long way to drive back though!!
You should notice the difference - I went from a 2000 1.8 TT 225 Quattro to the 2.0 TFSI Quattro and thought it a smoother drive and as quick. If you're a bit underwhelmed get it Bluefined and I promise you won't feel the same after a few days - Fuel economy even goes up. (a bit)
