one benefit of a good chipsaway type company is that they will repair it on the car and at a place that suits you as they are mobile.

mine was done at a normal bodyshop but ive used them before so knew it would be ok. be carefull of chipsaway type repairs some can look awful after a while. not saying they all do but see what legnth of warranty they give!

could be just condensation in rocker cover mixing with the film of oil , seen it before on cars this time of year. if there is loads everywhere its more serious!

did the same on a low wall in an a4 once, they repaired it. i took the bumper off (easy) and dropped it in for a day £100 cash.

my girlfreind did exactly the same! i'd had a few too many so she drove having had none at all then clipped a kerb at 50mph! - and after a 20min lecture on not kerbing them!!!!! luckily one of my mates is a mobile wheel refurbisher. A lot of swearing and shouting took place on the journey home!

my 1.9 tdi used to start straight away, never used to wait for the light.

ive had them in for 6mths, there's no sign of heat or melting of connectors, wires, switches. 100w a definate no no on standard wiring, but these have been fine, even on a recent 500 mile round trip at night. i only have them in the dipped headlamp though.

if they are H7 bulbs like mine i can recomend halfords 80w superblue. had them in mine for ages and they look like HID's with the facelift type lights.
