I rang up dealers who surprisingly confirmed the OEM part number! In the past for other part number requests they were reluctant!
They confirmed it to be 1K0615424J which is from PR-1KD :-)
I'll double check the boot just for my reference, thanks.
Thanks for the detailed message.
Do you just paint them with metal/rust proof paint?
This eBay seller states NEW n 2 years guarantee...
That link works, you can click into each part/area, thanks! I’ll give it a check on PC tomorrow.
The mechanic did spray some wd40 n gave it a few whacks! It’s fine now but in a day or 2 problem will reappear.
Windback tool? Might look into that.
Where’s best to buy jack stands from? Now that it’s soon spring I don’t mind spending time on it!
Hi
Can anyone tell me how to obtain the correct part for my drivers side rear brake caliper please? I don’t know the OEM part number n the mechanic couldn’t confirm it/I didn’t specifically ask him for it. I don’t know if the part needs to be taken off to confirm it?
I’ve got my VIN number...
I have the same issue and although I took it apart n gave it a thorough clean n got everything moving again manually, connecting it up doesn’t work!
Now I’m thinking it’s either the plastic gear wheel or the circuit board cz it was pretty nasty!? Is it worth buying the gear wheel for £3 or...
I'm aware Carbon Clean is compatible! lol
My question was more towards checking the condition of it. MarkMS3 pictures look like everything's intact and the injectors were simply taken off.
That's easy enough right?
I've googled before and the company I posted about both don't mention anything on "checking the state" of the baked on carbon!
Care to show me exactly where it states it on your link - I don't see it anywhere?!?
Technically it's £50 from so I didn't mislead anyone by stating
''My car isn't giving me any problems but the idea of paying £50 to get it cleaned seems like a great opportunity!''.
The way ch1z64 spoke, I thought he was going to say a proper engine carbon clean should cost me around £200 or...
They will pay repairs upto the value of the car I.e. £6000 for mine!
I can do it at any VAT registered garage or Main dealers OR a choice of there registered garages. £0 excess too!
Like Sam said, waiting for main dealers appts a joke, esp if you work office hours!
