Can't remember if it was enabled as default on my 2005 A3 or not now.
Does the one touch open / close work OK using the window switch ?
Thing is if it is enabled and doesn't work then you are still going to need someone to check it with VCDS anyway.

Hmm - tell that to my Mrs who hasn't had a fault yet on her ten year old MX-5 Sport, where as shall we say I had a number of issues with both the Mark IV Golf GTi and A3 TDi that I have owned in that time.
It is even still on the original bulbs at 10 years old and 65K miles.
Mind didn't stop...
Having watched my mate change mine, I would say that you really need to do it up on ramps. It can all be done from below using long extension bars. You should get the Oil fee pipe, a full gasket kit with the turbo (if it is a generic one get a proper exhaust gasket from TPS or Audi as we found...
Neither would I, it is now doing Stirling service talking to my new Octavia VRS.
The other option is to see if there is anyone local to you with VCDS that could help for a few beer tokens.
Paul.
I had the power injector on the normal co-ax connector on my 2005 A3, but the radio reception was never as good as the stock head-unit using both connectors.
I'm pretty sure that the Tandem Pump is on the right of the block as you look at the Engine, it is a combined fuel pump and vacuum pump. The pump in the Tank is the lift pump and I wouldn't expect that to have oil anywhere near it.
I am more familiar with the PD140 unit, but can't see the basic...
They are easy to push through, I did on mine when I installed them, I replaced it with a standard gromet cut to the right lenth to fit the hole. Funnily having just put the car back to stock as it has gone, I found it behind a bit of the boot trim when I took the ICE install out.
Well the A3 has gone - was a bit sad to see it go - well until I had the keys to the VRS in my hands.
First impressions - very nice, you can see that it isn't quite as premium as the A3 - but most of the bits are group anyway and it is a very nice drive and well put together. Fantastic colour...
Thanks Mate.
Need to loose the chrome from the grill - plans afoot and will probably retrofit the RNS510 (Skoda call it a Columbus) Sat Nav and bluetooth. Then start working out the rest of the ICE plans (priority).
Once the insurance has settled - I will probably look at a Revo Stage 1 give...
Well after 5 years with the A3 I am off to pastures new on Saturday.
The A3 is being traded in against a 9 month old Skoda Octavia VRS 2.0TFSi in Race Blue.
So I have a busy Thursday and Friday putting the A3 back to stock.
ICE all out and back to the stock Bose single DIN single CD unit...
I think you will find that the £700 turbo from TPS will be an exchange price and not the full price for a new Turbo. Our TDis shouldn't overrun to destruction that is why the IMF is there to starve the Engine of air when your switch the ignition off. That is off course assuming that your IMF is...
Blimey this is an old thread MB (OP) has had 4 cars since he started this thread, I however still have the A3.
Hopefully it will be back to full function this evening after I replace the Solenoid Block.
