If the control relays are losing power when the fault occurs, I would be inclined to think it's an earth issue or a broken 12v feed wire (the insulation expanding when warm and separating the internal core).

If Audi use the same fitment as Renault, the strips have keyholes. You'd need to slide it towards the front of the vehicle and it should then lift off.

Is the window square in the opening? It may be that one of the guide pins has broken.

A lower capacity battery won't stuff the alternator per se. It will work at full output more often but for vastly less duration because there's less cell density to charge, therefore the battery will charge quicker. You'll only really notice the downside during colder months when it struggles...

Ah, do you know what brand of pump was fitted? There are some really cheap and nasty ones out there.

Could be related to the notorious door wiring loom, possible early signs of wiring failure. As far as headlights go, do you have auto headlights?

I wouldn't be inclined to worry about the homemade sump gasket at the moment, it looks like oil is coming from higher up. Possibly a split crank breather hose?
