    New S3 ordered

Well he has, and it was similar money from two dealers. The 2.9% has been around for a couple of years now with BMW for new cars, the 6 or 7% from Audi is ridiculous. And whatever BMW is doing, its working. I know 4 Audi drivers who are now BMW drivers. Why pay double the interest rate for an...

    New S3 ordered

How much deposit on that? A friend of mine has just ordered a brand new fully loaded X3M for a similar monthly. It’s a £75k + car, so that seems expensive for what will probably be around a £60k car

Wind noise and door closure issue

I was never a fan of the R either to be honest, if I was after a hot hatch at the moment it would be the GTI Clubsport or Edition 45. However the new golfs seem to be experiencing pretty significant issues with the infotainment system and electronics as well, some of which VW have admitted they...

Wind noise and door closure issue

A friend of mine just bought a brand new Z4, it has plenty of modern tech (which actually works) and it doesn't feel like it has been "built to a cost" much like the current S3 does. A friend of a friend is in sales for Audi here, he told us that they can't give away S3's. They have 4 on sale...

Wind noise and door closure issue

I had the same wind noise issue on my 8V S3, and although Audi acknowledged it was there when then couldn’t fix it, it suddenly became a “feature“ of the car. I had the car for 3 years and it was never fixed, so I wouldn’t hold your breath thinking they will fix it eventually

    S3 vs Golf8R

Those two ****** Archie and TGE are as bad as each other, I can’t understand the size of their YouTube following. How anyone can listen to either of them for more than 2 seconds is beyond me.

First look at RS3 in detail…

The Edition 45 seems to have the detailing you would have expected on the clubsport, GTI stitched into the seats, nicely trimmed door cars etc. If you could lay your hands on one, in my opinion that would be the one to go for.

    Great looking cars those.

First look at RS3 in detail…

Those wheels make a world of difference to how it sits and looks, any I have seen on the road have had the standard wheels, which are frankly too small for the car, and awful looking.

First look at RS3 in detail…

A set of springs and spacers should definitely help, but for me the proportions of the car are still all wrong and no amount or lowering is going to fix this. Looking at one, it just looks like a big awkward box.

First look at RS3 in detail…

I’ve started to see the new GTI and R appearing on the roads now, quite a few around here actually. Ive got to say, I’m not a fan of either. Similar to the issue with the 8Y they look disproportionate and sit too high. The MI is awful in them as well, clunky, crashy and most settings need to be...

First look at RS3 in detail…

You said they shared a ”huge” amount of parts, if they shared a huge amount of interior parts they would look pretty similar inside. Ive been in a Bentley recently, and I can confirm they look or feel nothing like the interior of an A3. And the 8V switch gear and plastic were actually very...

First look at RS3 in detail…

A steering wheel button is not what I would consider a major piece of interior trim, I would be fairly confident in saying Bentley would not be selling a lot of cars it their interiors where similar to an Audi A3.

First look at RS3 in detail…

That’s fair enough, I’m just saying if I buy a car that costs over £60k I have to feel like I’m sitting in a £60k car. Audi would have to refrain from using a lot of the interior parts from an A3, an RS model should not have the ”feel” of the lowest model it is based upon. Audi rarely screw up...

First look at RS3 in detail…

I‘d been surprised if the new RS3 sounds close to the current one, the EU emissions and sound suppression regulations make it impossible. Sure you can’t even Rev a current RS model above 3.5k rpm when it is stationary, you are electronically restricted from doing this. Then will come the price...

No sound in the world could make up for those looks

Sorry, but based on those pictures it doesn’t look any better than the current A3/S3.

    Not acknowledging there's a problem

It could be a number of things, for example it could be an assembly line problem where items have been installed incorrectly. Im pretty sure this is what happened with my A35, typically Mercedes did not want to highlight they had problems with a significant number of these cars, many of which...

    Not acknowledging there's a problem

Thats the problem with buying a brand new model, with all the technology in cars these days systemic problems can take years to sort out. Just take a look at any other software driven products you have, they are all released with bugs, some worse than others but all require a fix a some point...

    Not acknowledging there's a problem

including myself I know 3 people who have been long time Audi drivers that have jumped ship recently. My friend didn’t go for the TTS in the end, he ordered a new Z4 which was significantly cheaper because of BMW’s apr rate.
