    Android RNS-E

To be honest I sent mine back. The fitment was the big let down. Mine was the RNSE rep. Did you move the little tags at the top rear back?

Yeah, I pinched the end of the RCA to make a snug fit. Blue wire was all good. I’ll give it another for this weekend - it would be a shame to resort to noise suppressors but I may need to. It’s then the fit I’ll need to get sorted. @ab1702 have you put your side brackets back on?

    Android RNS-E

Hi @dp_motley - above you mention that for BOSE not to connect #3 to #17 - for BOSE shouldn’t they be connected? Just wondering if this is part of my sound issue. How did you get split screen? I moved the little lugs at the top, rear of the unit back as you suggested and put the RNSE rubber...

    Android RNS-E

I received my Xtrons HU today. On opening the box I was pleasantly surprised with the way the unit looked - from the front it looked better than expected. The black plastic facia is a good match to factory but the silver knurled buttons look and feel very cheap. Size wise, the body of the...

I’ve placed an order on the Xtrons site. The octa-core Android 8 unit should be here Monday. I’ll provide an update once fitted and tuned.

    RNSE maps New Zealand/Australia

Hello, I'll be returning to New Zealand in a couple of months and my S3 will be coming with me. Does any one know where I may be able to get an RNSE DVD for New Zealand/Australia (they are on the same DVD)? I'm not too worried if it's a hack to get satnav working. I've contacted Audi NZ who...

    Android RNS-E

I currently have RNS-E with full bose. I’m in no rush to upgrade but as mush as I like the Pioneer and Kenwoods and Alpine units, I don’t need to spend that much and I do like the look of the Xtrons. I’ve read mixed reviews in the sound quality and the plastic’y look/feel of the unit, but that...

I’m struggling with this decision at the moment too :frown new: Thinking Kenwood but the UI is too dark and dated.

    Help Needed

Hi @liam1711spear - did you get the rear speakers sorted? I’m looking at the Kenwood unit to replace my RNS-E (with full Bose).

    Android RNS-E

Thanks @Ike - re the coding - if I remove my RNSE, BT do I need to code these out, essentially tell the car they aren’t fitted or do I just leave it? Or, will the new items require this coding? And yet another question, would the MMI in the glove box still work or can this go too? I don’t use...

    Android RNS-E

I’m looking at getting the Xtrons Octa-core to replace my RNSE, I have Bose so I hope it works (having read mixed reviews). I have a couple of questions if that’s ok? Can I reuse any of my existing BT hands free or can all that be removed along with the RNSE? Can the Extron BT microphone be...
