I'm more than happy with my AVC and, as Marshy says, why buy a £50k car if you're not prepared to spend £400 on a unit that gives you the best of both worlds... Plus the resale value of the controller ultimately doesn't make it that much more expensive in the long run.
After hearing the valves...
AVC fitted yesterday afternoon and I'm liking it! Hardest part for me was getting all the plugs stowed away behind the piece of trim in the passenger foot-well - there really isn't all that much space! As zippster said above - it's so nice not having to cycle through the mode select to open the...
I've got Carbon Ceramics and have experienced a squeal now and then but nothing a good heavy brake doesn't solve. Odd that you're getting it all the time mate. As the guys say - try taking your wheel off and checking nothing is embedded anywhere, although to me (and I'm no expert!) it does sound...
Just took the plunge and ordered one :thumbs up: PayPal were trying to charge me another £18 or so for them to do the currency exchange, cheeky bas*****!
Used Mastercard which has a better exchange rate anyway, and won't charge me a fee. Cost £396 all in.
I too was wondering about the ghost...
Haven't read anything about individual mode and whether the controller detects the exhaust settings...
Although the ESC twice could sort that if not :thumbs up:
Jesus you managed to answer before I'd edited to comment about the price lol.. Skills!
Opening and closing works without the engine running I would assume?
Seriously considering pulling the trigger on one of these, although it's coming out at around £390 delivered so it aint exactly cheap..
I do a majority of my driving in Individual mode, which I've basically set to dynamic mode apart from the mag ride suspension which is set to standard.
Would...
Every day is a school day. Nice one T800, great info, thanks - I'll not worry about letting her idle on the drive after a spirited drive home as much now, although I probably will lol
My wife had a similar thing on her car the other week, stop start fault - battery needed replacing so you might wanna start with a battery health check.
Personally, I turn stop/start off as a matter of course after starting the car up... Don't like the thought of giving it some down a dual...
Nice choice indeed, bet you're counting down the days!
Have a look at Ispiri wheels - I'm going to pull the trigger on some FFR6 I think when my tyres need changing and funds allow!
The mats are from Autostyle - anthracite with nubuck/off black binding and RS logo:
You can enquire by email and send them a picture of the logo, they will put it on all four mats if you ask them to :thumbs up:
All good - they weren't titanium though, mild steel. I machined them and reduced the overall length by 2mm and counter-bored the thread 5mm, so the thread wasn't bottoming out on the valve stem which probably could have seized as you said - they now bottom out on the rubber o-ring at the bottom...
I liked the look of that so I've bought one too :thumbs up:
Also bought some black Audi valve caps too, apparently made from titanium but we'll see lol
Ah that looks much better than current - I don't understand why Audi didn't use the whole screen either... I really don't need a top down view of the car and parking sensors, I can what's there in the ****** camera! (albeit rather small currently)
