yer mate i realise that, but seeing as audi doesnt really have its own dedicated shows apart from aitp i will still go along to these events to drool over the limited numbers of audis that do turn up, plus to be fair bruntingthorpe is much better for club stands, plenty of space to get the cars...
when i went to bruntingthorpe for the french car show a few years back they had setup a little track at the left side of the main drag that anyone could take part in, is there nothing like this for the inters?
camping sounds enticing, mainly as it means bbq and beer lol
i share your thoughts mate, i never wanna see another mk2/4 golf ever again :)
the asn stand mainly comprised of s3's but i loved it as i love s3's :) i too am looking forward to aitp, never been before but from the sounds of it it will be four rings as far as the eye can see, pure bliss lol...
yer i was thinking audis in the park too mate, no golfs to offend my eyes :) plus seems more of a stand around to chat and be social kind of meet, more laid back and relaxed atmosphere, pod is good but can be hectic at times
it was my first time doing sprints so wanted to get a decent go at...
thought the show was a bit of a let down to be fair, i only went to look at audis as 'veedubs' dont interest me in the slightest, and had it not been for the asn stand audi numbers would have been limited to the teens, maybe even single figures :( (although silvery/grey rs4 with white rims gave...
not got sat nav but if my memory serves thats the route i have always used in the past so should be all good
6am wake up call, not good :( be worth it though :)
think im gonna run mine down the strip, although i will just decide when i get to the gates lol
cars good for it but looking back at my track record of cars it would be just my luck to drop a valve/blow turbo/smash my gearbox :(
o well in for a penny, in for a pound as they say
jojo, are we meeting at tescos off m42 at 715am or are we meeting at tescos near pod at 0715?
getting a little confused, we're meeting people at a few places along the way now?
we could have done with another ten spaces for asn by the sounds of it, this is going to be mahoosive!!
purple princess - getting everyone in in one big convoy would be awesome but nigh on impossible, 60+ cars all trying to get through the four or five gates at once with about a million other...
just to let people know theres a convoy thread under major uk events section just so this thread doesnt get too messy :)
should be a good 'un for sure!
sounds like a plan jojo, time wise im easy going too, 0700 0715 0730, whatever trevor!!
either of you two know the route of hand or got satnav, as mine is knackered and i dont know off by heart
im guessing that if we want to run up the strip we buy track time along with the tickets at the front gate?
ive never been up the strip before do i need to take driving license or anything like that?
where on the m42 do you get on matey? i havent really thought about a time to be honest, will be early though, think gates open at 0730-0800ish so would want to get there not long after that, running up the strip so want to get as many runs in as i can as early as poss so i can have a nose...
