I ordered an A6 end of Jan but sounds like I was lucky, it was built 24th Feb and only in Emden a day or so and has been in the UK for a week but now at dealers.
I'm beginning to think the same, I had it serviced yesterday which has already saved them a few quid and they knew the tyre depth 2 weeks ago. I’ll just keep an eye on them and if the rears drop too much and legality becomes an issue I’ll replace.
Thanks all, they already gave me a PX price 2 weeks ago after inspecting the car so I assume they knew the tread then, but still got a couple of months before I give them the car.
I’m dubious about part worn tyres although some I’ve looked at on eBay look legit, I honesty did not realise there...
I’ll soon be trading in my 2018 S3 and moving into a new A6 thats hopefully due end of March. I know my tyres are low on the front (3.5mm) and very low on the rear (2.5mm) but don’t really want to fork out £££’s on replacements only for the dealer to benefit.
Are there any conditions of...
I have the 2018 S3 saloon and was at an Audi drive event last weekend where I got to drive the new S3 hatch. I was amazed at the difference in noise, tried the launch control and other than the push back in your seat feeling it was devoid of anything else, really disappointing.
I will wait to...
Finally had the car back today after a couple attempts to resolve the clicking. It was diagnosed and fixed under a Service Bulletin for the front wheel bearings, essentially dismantled greased up and reassembled. Got it back and the clicking noise had gone but the steering wheel was no longer...
If I were you I’d make up a Do Not Wash sign and put it on your dash. I suggested that they should do something similar themselves if the customers request cars not to be washed.
Southampton Audi, in all honesty can’t really fault then overall but as you say the washing is annoying.
I think part of the issue is that the black paint shows everything hence why I only ever wash myself. It’s also ridiculously soft paint.
Got the car back today and can confirm that the clicking has stopped after the mount replacement, they have also resolved the center console knee bolster squeak I’ve had since new.
Annoyingly they washed it even after I told them not to so they need it back to sort the minor scratches and swirls...
Thanks for all the replies. Going to get it booked in. Been tuned in to the noise more now and the clicking does occur quite regularly and it’s made worse if turning, even a small amount, whilst going over bumps in the road.
Don’t know if anyone can let me know of this is normal but when driving today with the window open I could here a distinct metallic sounding click when turning.
This happens at all speeds wether turning left or right. I also don’t need to turn the wheel much to hear it.
The car may have always...
