Split nozzle might well have been it, but it did stink of oil too...and as you said that doesn't explain the low compression in 5 &6. Would you be able to fit the boost gauge for me please when I bring it up ?

Adam just overhauled the turbo, same set up, with a new back plate and then a bench flow, the issue must have been the sticky rings on pistons 5&6 and/ or valve stem oil seals in the heads...I'll be in touch when I can head up, probably be early November as we are shut then in hotel. thanks for...

No, I have very good supply to injectors, fuel came very quick to with refurbished pump..

Small update, the engineer shop has said the exhaust valve guides (brass ) were completely shot, had to replace them all.

Ha yeah it is dirty, both heads have gone off to be skimmed, stripped, cleaned, new valve stem oil seals, valves re seated and cam shafts put back in and re timed, pistons too, cleaned and new rings put on £310 +vat (excluding price for rings).

Tidy, I think I'm on about 27 psi so a 30psi might be a bit close to the limit... suppose I should get it running again first....

What psi did you go for with the gauge ?
