my last 1.9 tdi AVANT did about 650 to a tank, my current 1.9 tdi avant Quattro does at least 550, with mainly motorway driving. i suggest something is definitely up with yours if the consumption is that low. you should never get less than 35mpg even if you wear lead boots!

Just picked up my 1.9 tdi Q avant tonight, awesome. i've had 2wd 1.9 and 2wd 2.5, but this seems the best- i have a feeling its been remapped. Anyways.... I have bought an uncut key from ebay. can anyone else other than Audi reprogramme and cut the key? dont fancy paying extortionate charges

i once had a 19 tdi saloon sport with 140k on it. it drove just as well as a run-out 19 tdi 6 avant with 15k on it that i had last year!

i sourced a 2002 1.8t for my friend. it had about 80k on it. 2 months after buying, the above happened. his engine blew, gutted for him. Apparently more common than is reported on here. To prevent, i beleive it needs the oil strainer checking for cleanliness/. replacing. I could be wrong...
