Well all I know is that you need the clocks off a b6, b7 wont fit. Also you'll need clean immobiliser pastilles (or whatever they are called...) as they will have to be re-programmed and VCDS won't manage, VAS would come in handy I'd say
Hi cnut (I had to read your name twice to figure out that it's not something else... :P )
I don't think there is any point to start the production line, unfortunatelly these don't work out cheap, you need 3 different sets of headlights to build one and rs6s themselves are a good few pounds...
The main idea was to keep the DRLs on and dim them when the indicator comes on but the indicator leds are a bit too weak to stand out more than the white ones. I think I will try to get the white to go off for the whole duration of indicating instead of them flashing with the orange ones like...
Well lads, We came up with a brilliant idea to put together 3 sets of headlights to make one:
- Rs6 C6
- A4 B8
- A4 B6
took the leds and the blade out of the rs6 and the projector out of the b8, all that was squeezed into the OEM Bi-xenon housing, here is the result :P
Took a step...
The old relay was perfect and I put that one back in but the wires have melted creating a short circuit so I got thicker wires now and let's hope for the best, but they are still heating up a good bit
i seem to have a problem. I installed my relay a couple of months ago and then a few weeks later my batter went flat. i took the aircon unit out and behind it i've seen melted wire (from the relay). I thought, the relay could have been faulty so today i went to change the relay and i just double...
I had the same problem, kept pushing them together, even sello taped them together just so that they are tight but no joy. I ended up cutting the connectors off and soldering the wires from the seat directly to the wires in the floor
Hahahaha It sounds funny doesnt it? And not many people know about it but it is a common problem hehe I knew you wouldnt believe me thats why I told you to try it before I was gonna tell you what it was :P
It is the switch thats faulty,
cool though isnt it?
Just try it and then Ill tell u :D
Basically
Turn the side lights on
turn the ignition on
start the car
see if it starts as it did before (takes a while) or smoothly :P
