Took me a little while to find the box it's in but yes, that's what I did. The part number is 8E0919063A and is 'Plug & Play' although you will need to drill two holes in the plastic fascia to allow the light to shine through. It's not very bright so I took mine apart and made it brighter but...
Haha 10 years on :tonguewink:
I didn't even know about this mod until my bro and I went to look at a B6 Sport Avant and I noticed two LED's poking out of the interior light panel. Obviously retrofitted but I quite liked it and soon learned that you could buy a genuine part to do it. I bought...
Three tyres I can recommend.Uniroyal Rainsport 2, Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta and Continental ContiSportContact5. The Conti's seem to wear fairly quick despite being on the rear but hold the road very well. Uniroyal up front are still going after about a year and a half of daily commuting...
I've been chasing a bad smell in the vent system for many months now. Started with the standard procedure of replacing the cabin filter and an aircon cleaner can. Great result for about half an hour and then it was back. Smelled like a combination of musty clothes, sour sweat and tramp's urine...
Don't mean to drag this up but it didn't seem worth starting a new thread to ask the same questions.
My brake limit light came on today so I'm looking to get a set of front pads soon (MOT tester advised fronts were fairly worn at last test anyway so didn't come as a surprise). I have a Euro Car...
I never knew mine had a light until my bro got his A4 and I was fiddling with the glovebox that we discovered was broken a few minutes after handing over the cash :banghead:. Classic hinge snapped at the damper side. I took apart the damper and sliced a few rings off the rubber plunger to reduce...
No idea. I was just doing the plenum drains just after he bought it and had a bit of a job getting the battery out due to the brace obscuring access. Knew it was easier on mine so went back to check and mine definitely doesn't have the mounts welded onto the struts. It handles really well...
I had a weird noise on boost not too long after I bought my car. I could clearly hear it when accelerating and it would come in at about 3400-3500rpm. Hissing/screaming like a banshee kind of sound. No idea what it was as it has since gone away :uhm:
On my first winter I just had some 16" ContiPremiumContact's on there and they were ok. Last winter I had upgraded to 17" alloys and the fronts were beyond their best so I had two Rainsport 2's fitted which are great. The rears were just budgets (Admiral P712 if I remember rightly) and not...
Sorry to hijack, but something has been on my mind for a long while and I never really got an answer on another forum. Between the SE and Sport models, what are the exact suspension differences besides one being 20mm lower? For example, are the ARB's different? I noticed when tinkering with my...
That's good to know. Cheers :icon_thumright:
Anyone here owned the 2.5TDI Sport at all? Wondering what the stock map is like. Apparently a power hike to 210bhp. A colleague of mine says his nephew might be able to equip me with said map but if it's not worth it then I won't bother.
That might be a different area to the one I'm on about. When you're working on the airbox you pull a detachable trunk off the top of the airbox and inside that sits a little piece of plastic framework with a thin mesh on it which doesn't seem to have a lot of purpose. If anything it restricts...
Yeah I think it's just another intake from the offside wing. Did you happen to notice a weird plastic frame covered in a fine mesh sitting in the front intake trumpet? Couldn't see any real benefit to it so I removed mine.
Interesting to see this result from a map. I've had someone urging me to have mine mapped but I've held off as I had heard from a local source that the 2.5TDI isn't capable of taking more than 210bhp reliably. Any truth in that?
As she stands the only mod I've made is taken a weird meshed frame...
