Haven't really got the funds to upgrade- the outer plastic of the original bar is coming off on one side, making it knock. Think I'll just go standard front.
Surely you could just buy the correct diameter silicon hose and cut it down? Would be much cheaper than buying the full set. Or, as above, just delete the N249.
Anyone got a rough idea how much it will cost to change the front ARB (standard bar and bushes)? I've been quoted £277 inc parts & labour (inc alignment check).
Thanks chaps- Bill, I remembered you saying that, that's why I took it there. Maybe it was a guy who hadn't done an S3 before, although I also questioned it with the guys at the desk. Reckon it will be OK? Don't want to destroy any tyres...
My S3 was in need of alignment, so took it to Protyre in Gloucester, as they seem to have a good rep. I gave them these figures (found on here):
-0.5 rear camber
-1.3 front camber
zero toe
However, they weren't interested and told me they couldn't adjust the rears as it's a MKIV platform...
Thanks for the input lads. I think my only option is to take as much stuff off as possible next time it happens, so I can at least pinpoint its origin exactly.
Scanned on VCDS and nothing. Happened again the other day when it was hot. Here's a vid:

Thanks mate. Definite alarm type beeping- like a reversing lorry. Definitely from the engine bay near the brake fluid res. Will see what happens tomorrow.
Got home tonight and I could hear a faint beeping sound like a reversing lorry. Opened the bonnet and it was coming from the rear left of the engine bay near the brake fluid reservoir. I checked the oil, which was low, so topped it up. Beeping stopped a few minutes later.
Any ideas?
