essentially yes. Why the hell would you want to get in front of something that is made of harder materials, weighs 20-30 times as much as you and can out accelerate you ? Some cyclists just have no common sense it seems.
The idea of the box is for a cyclist turning right to get across at the lights without having to move into oncoming moving traffic. The fact that the cyclists were riding two abreast is in breach of the highway code. As is the car entering the box.
