I had a horrific one appear on my black s1 which I've only had for 6 months, bought a kit from Chipex and the results are pretty good! Only I can now find it, and I have to get up close. As said above though, a few passes with a DA polisher (which I don't have) would probably finish it off...

Usually 3-4 weeks to collection once it leaves the factory, overall 12 weeks is the usual time scale from order to collection but sometimes this can take longer, for the example if issues are found during quality control this can add up to a week.

Usually a day or two. Although mine was 4 days! Not long now though!!

A day in each bit except assembly which is two days and QC can be up to 6 days

Thanks, and you! Sounds like a good little drive home! Mine's about 25 miles, but as I've got the day off work I'll spend all afternoon out in it probably, try to get it bed in nicely, the first 500 miles out of the way quickly!

Yeah, I was fortunate to not have too long at status 38 - I know a lot of people see well over a week. Mine's finally arrived this morning at the dealers - hoping for mid week collection next week, they said they'd get back to me with a date once it's pdi'd.

That's a quick turn around considering yours arrived at the port the same day as mine!

You say you're having to use a jump pack - does it start up fine with this? If so, might be obvious, but have you checked the voltage across the battery ? Or swap it out for a known good battery and see .. I wouldn't have thought the HVAC code would be related to poor running / not starting...

I'd have thought that's a worst case date at the dealers, as usually we get told 3-4 weeks for delivery once the car leaves the factory.
