When I lived in Germany I always used Shell V-Power diesel, never really noticed any difference in either a 1.9 A3 TDI or a 2.0 A3 TDI, only benefit was 5 shell points per litre instead of 1. (yeah sad I know...)

From your description, the buyer and the seller havent signed anything and no money has changed hands and the buyer has arranged finance before even seeing the car in the light of day. (sounds a bit foolish really)

I hit a pheasant on the autobahn in an A3 a few years back was doing about 120mph+, hit the lower offside front bumper took the entire foglight with it, not a single scratch or mark on the bodywork however... :(
