I've adjusted the gear lever and where it attaches to the cables. Ive watched the linkage on the box while a mate changed gear in the van and I can see it going into 4th as much as possible so I'm sure the issue is internal.

Bled the clutch but still have the problem. I do however have a super sharp clutch pedal. Time to take it to a garage me thinks :(

4th will go in but only at really low revs. I've read the bleeding guide for the clutch and it's a 2 stage afair which the garage may have not known about but I'd still have thought it would effect all gears.

I'm going to try bleeding the clutch before dropping the box. Has anyone got any ideas as to how a clutch change can stop just 1 gear from being selected?

If it can be done on the 8L I'm sure it can be done on the 8P too. The ESP button was always the first thing I pressed when I got in my car. Love the fact it's disabled now.

OFF all the way. TC on a mapped car tends to be even more sensitive due to the increased power output. I've coded my ESP so it's always off as it was just a pita.
