Took two weeks before he could drive the car. The seller was a a car dealer but selling his own car with a private plate, he should know better. My friend ended up with the 1 years car tax being paid for and next mot paid for as recompense, annoying but sorted out in the end.

The onus is on the seller to transfer reg number to his new car and replace the the original number on the car he is selling. You can't tax and insure your new car until this done and will probably have to go to the Post Office to do this. Only know this because I helped a friend buy a car...

Congrats on your new purchase. The A3 V6 is a bit special so that's why you like it. There are also many other versions with differing petrol and diesel lumps in them and each has it's merits.

I have "Winking Lights" of both kinds. It wasn't me that made them like it, it was Audi. Pretty sure most new cars have them now.
