No it hasn't got them, I've noticed it already had two black plastic strips at the back of the arch, but they don't extend around the side like the new ones to deflect stones from the sill.

I'd really recommend having a local Audi specialist take a look at it, obviously something isn't right there.

Here's hoping that is all it is! If it's still on, try getting it scanned with VCDS to see if you can get any more information on the fault.

Who was it that changed the grade of the oil? An Audi garage/specialist/local? You could just ring Audi and ask if there has been a change in the recommended oil, if not, go by your car manual...

Is the memory stick plugged in correctly? I only ever get this if it loses connection and suddenly gets it back. I had a slightly faulty memory stick that had previously been bent which I think was the cause.
