A good choice. I’ve only heard bad things about lifeshine (probably to do with how it’s applied at dealer rather than product itself). I would look into getting it ceramic coated and detailed obvs if there are imperfections in the paint. My detailer used max protect UNC-R elite on the paintwork...
My detailer is based down in Basingstoke - my new Q5 had a new car detail with internal and external surfaces coated. Paint was done with Max Protect UNC-R Elite. http://www.fmdetailing.co.uk/

Hi all
Just wondered if anyone has a recommendation for a reasonable swirl finding lights. Don't want the stand lights really just a handheld.
I've seen the CREE led lights for peanuts on amazon but wondering if there's any advice from here.
Cheers
Chris

It took the full day for the new car detail with coatings and mine was £400 - take a look at his Facebook page as he puts all his work on there. The new car detail coats all internal and external surfaces as well as the paintwork.

I have Navarra Blue on my new Q5 and have had ceramic coated and detailed. Whilst it really helps easy cleaning and protection against swirls a proper wash technique is still vital as the coatings themselves can swirl if treated incorrectly.
I had mine done in Max Protect UNC-R elite and since...
I use a Two bucket wash method with grit guards with a soft merino wool pad and dry it with soft microfibre towels. I had mine detailed and ceramic coated and it's a doddle to clean. I use a snowfoam lance to get most of the dirt off to minimise the risk of swirling the paint with dirt in the...
Just be careful with your wash methods (2 bucket wash and decent microfibre dry etc) and the products mentioned above it'll look smart. What have you got in the monsoon grey?

Swirls can't really ever be taken out by hand. The clearcoat is too hard IMHO. The black hole will mask them but will wash off hence why you need a decent sealant / wax to keep them hidden for a few weeks. You'll need a DA polisher if you are brave enough to try yourself with a cutting pad and...
No worries. Make sure it has a decent wax over the top of any glaze. Poor boys white diamond is the equivalent but is for whites and silvers best. Monsoon is a tricky colour to get and keep looking good but the combo over did work wonders - decent beading as well.
