Poorboys Black Hole & Chemical Guys EXP Sealant

I have both of these products and was wondering if it normal for me to use the Black Hole Glaze BEFORE the EXP Sealant? Some people have said that they are essentially the same product, but that's not what I believe from reading the labels. So, do I use both, or just the one? Obviously...

I don't want to spend hours cleaning my car, so I have a few questions.

Not specifically those brands, but after a clay you definitely need to polish to clear the paint of any swirls or light scratches, followed up by a sealant to lock in your hard work for up to a year and then a wax on top which you just need to top up once a month to keep the car looking tip top...

    Drying techniques

Sound... so pretty much what I have been doing up until now anyway which is good. The only thing which is new to me is 'sheeting' which I tried last weekend and worked very well - hardly any water left on the car to dry off :-)

    Drying techniques

Cheers for the advice guys. What do you mean by 'sheeting' with water when rinsing? And does this technique minimise the water marks? The main problem I have is dried on water marks if I dont dry off properly, which is why I started using a QD as a drying aid as it helped. Have you got any...

    Snow foam

Haha yeah got all that covered. I've detailed my cars quite a few times using clay & polishers etc but there's just a couple of things that are new to me.

    Snow foam

So what are the benefits of using snow foam, if I still have to wash the car afterwards?

    Snow foam

What's the benefits of snow foaming your car instead of regular washing? I'm thinking of getting a pressure washer and just wondering whether to go the whole way and get a snow foam kit. Is it better than mitt and soapy bucket of water? Does it strip the car of its protective waxes too...

    Drying techniques

What's the best way to dry your car while minimising scratches? Towel or chamois? Wipe or pat? Any products used? Personally I use two large MF towels and wipe softly back and forth all over, and also spray some detailer all over before drying to aid in a glossy streak free finish. Only...

    A good non-messy tyre shine

I'm currently using Chemical Guys Tyre Gel and although it gives a good finish, its far too messy to work with. The sponge gets saturated in the gel, which then turns black and cant be washed out. Are there any products which are easier and less messy to use? But at the same time, give a...

Does jet washing remove wax coating?

I'm thinking of buying a jet washer and was wondering if it removes any wax or glaze coats that I may of applied the week before for example? Don't fancy waxing the car every week you see.

What product for A3 interior grain plastics?

Thanks for the comments guys - I'll get some of that stuff in then. Yeah the shiny look that people seem to like is just cheap looking - there's a reason why the car manufacturers dont make them look like that from the factory :-)

What product for A3 interior grain plastics?

My plastics are very shiny all over like someone has been using some cheap silicon based polish on them. I'd like to restore them all to the original matte look. I usually use Poorboys Natural Look, but this seems to be only good once the plastics are the way they should be. What product...

    Machine Polish advice??

I bought a Porter Cable 7424 after finding out that most pro detailers swear by it. Its a random orbital which means its extremely hard to damage your paint with it. Only downside is that it's US only so will need a transformer to run. But well worth it if you're going to go down this route :-)
