Great car, 125k mostly motorway mileage and I’ve owned it from 17k. Always maintained to a high standard by a specialist garage.
Cream interior which is actually really nice contrast to the dark blue.
passenger window has stopped working, aside from that nothing to fault.
Car is in...
All,
Just popping this up as I intend to start doing some real work to my car this year.
Car is a 2008 A5 Quattro currently running a Quantam map circa 280-300.
Car was at 22k 2 years ago, and now sitting at 65k - I do mostly motorway driving
first and foremost, uprated turbo from VooDoo -...
Check out some of the other sub forums on here, you'll find great info on detailing and car entertainment, search although a bit of a minefield to start with is also pretty handy.
Welcome Cieran!
Believe those engines respond well to a map, but I agree with DrEskimo wait until warranty has gone before starting to tinker around that area - You already uncovered one fault, so could be wise to give it 6+ months / until end of warranty. Besides I waited a year before...
Just wondering if any one has faced issues and where is the mos practical place to take it.
Audi A5, but I imagine many electrics will be the same?
It's having troubles with the keyfob, thought it was the battery so switched to spare and same intermittent problem. It suggests that maybe the...
Very efficient, combined MPG is around 40-45 on the on-board computer but I base it more on the miles per tank. 60 Litre Tank gets me 550 miles on average. Sometimes it estimates upto 600 miles and sometimes as low as 500. I'm mainly motorway driving.
The power delivery is very smooth...
I'm kicking near 300 and the torque is something insane, you really wouldn't think you were driving a car that weighs as much as it does.
That's following a remap, I'm delighted with it and I get fantastic MPG.
I'm not racing or competing in it and I think it's probably the best all-rounder...
Did you buy it?
I've got the '08 3.0 Manual and mapped, I'd say 260/270 after map, I average 45 MPG (Motorway) long stretch can get near 600 miles on a £60 tank.
It's not the power, but the smoothness of the delivery that everyone that gets in mine loves. Very fast, handles well. Only...
Anyone got any recommendations, want some new life rubbed into this beaut,
£100-£200 ideally where I am looking to start.
Also a small scrape on front nose cone, maybe 4 inch long 3mm wide with some paint transfer - if they can hide this as much as they can!
Just popping a post on here, what do people think of these?
Reviews are solid as an all-rounder, which seems ideal for me. do high mileage but also like to play a bit.
Managed to grab them at £100/corner all in fitted and old tyres away - this was in Bristol City Centre.
Fitted Thursday -...
Have to say my chap was definitely a side street garage, no question of it. However he seemed very knowledgeable, his history was around electronic engineering and the garage was definitely all set up. In fairness he could have had a better laptop as was an old XP machine, but I imagine that's...
After having it done I was initially a bit playful and then eased off, just felt like I should let it run in, aside from the smoothness it wasn't until about 50miles in that I started pushing it so I guess a mix of it bedding in and me taking it easy.
Can't say I plan to hit 5500 but before it...
Just thought I'd share a thread after having done lots of research and still feeling non the wiser regarding the who's who in remapping.
Firstly, I'll say I kept being recommended for 2 options, a live map or Revo, due to their experience. Whilst not adverse to either i came across quantum who...
Fine fair comment, stealers is always a term I've seen through the various cars I've had and the associated forums - It was used in jest more than anything else, call it 'street cred' for a forum!
I was sharing the list of advisories but also referencing the pricing to get a good indication as...
