    1.4 TFSI COD manual clutch

Sadly it could be any number of things which are at fault. It could well be the clutch failing, it could be the leak in the hydraulic slave cylinder etc etc. If you are getting alot of juddering - without much actual clutch slip - then I wonder if it could be the dual mass flywheel (DMF)...

Dealer appears to have lost my car?!

Okay - so an update.... The critical bit as far as I am concerned is that I have my car back. She has been found - safe and well. How this came to pass is both more prosaic and bizarre than I anticipated: So after failing to arouse any interest via the phone - just before turning up, I...

Dealer appears to have lost my car?!

Yeah - I think we are going to have to go and doorstop them. It is just ridiculous. Curiously I do have a loan car from them at the moment which they show an equal lack if interest in getting back. So I have some leaverage I suppose... [Albeit the leverage is a Q2 - which really is a terrible...

Dealer appears to have lost my car?!

Sorry - I worry the title makes me sound like a bit of a lunatic - but it may actually be true... Dropped the A3 off at the Audi dealer for its MOT on Monday morning. Just an MOT and a brake fluid change - not a huge amount of work. Told someone would call me when it was ready. (Obviously no...

    Rear Wiper Judder/Noise

Had a similar problem on my A3 after it went in for service and the dealer changed the rear wiper blade. The new one juddered - while the old one never did. Managed to fix it by taking the blade off and mounting it the other way up (the fittings all appear to be reversible). Judder gone. I...

    8v air con performance

Quick thought - your climate control is not set to "Eco" is it...? If you press the "Auto" button once - it should just set the climate control to maintain that temperature - but if you press "Auto" again - you will get a very small "eco" message come on just next to the passenger side...

1.4 COD not in new A1 or A4?!

Couple of observations on this. 1) The 1.4 150 BHP engine is available with COD/ACT and without, which does get very confusing. The Golf hatchback has the 1.4 ACT engine - while the Golf SV Sportvan has the non-ACT engine. I think it depends on local markets and the choice of regional...

    BW 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50

I think that back in the fatherland - Audi use odd terms like Attraction, Ambition and Ambiente as their trim levels. The UK importer have decided this was a bit silly, and so renames them things like SE, Sport, S-Line etc. The German web site makes reference to a top line model called...

    BW 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50

E-mailed my dealer for an update - seems my Wk47 car is indeed being built in Wk 47 - which means sometime this week then! I imagine that somewhere in an Alpine field, a cow is roaming around, unaware that it is going to be covering my seats by Friday... Hopefully it will turn up mid-December...

    Thinking of ordering Audi A3 S/B 1.4 COD S-Line

Thanks for the feedback - all very helpful. The Tech Pack does sound like it is very nice to have - and maybe if I was still driving 20k / year it would be worth having - but driving less now - maybe it is not so essential. One question - Traffic Jam Warnings - am I right in thinking this...

    Thinking of ordering Audi A3 S/B 1.4 COD S-Line

Looking into the option of buying an A3 Sportback. I think I have narrowed the choice down to the 1.4 COD (150) engine with the automatic gearbox. (Maybe I am getting old, but I really can't be bothered changing gear any more...) Think the S-Line is preferable to the Sport as a) didn't really...
