Im unsure about the flat shift, is there an easy way to tell other than possibly hurting my car if i keep my foot flat between changes to find i dont have it? Lol If im in gear and accelerating should i be able to dip clutch and it not rev to limiter for example?

Well if im in 1st, clutch engaged and foot to the floor, it pops and bangs at 3k rpm then release clutch and it gets full power. Looks like LC to me?

Well it must be because i have it! :D I never asked for it either, the map obviously has it regardless.

I have a manual so its more fun. I have launch control but dont plan on using it really!

Yes 3bar map sensor software, but didnt they have that on the previous maps? It goes like absolute stink, and the limited boost between 3-4k rpm makes it chaos as it gets full boost at 4k, normally involving a struggle for traction which is fun! The clutch obviously isn't coping so when Helix...

Well ive got my TSI K04 map now and it has launch control (3k rpm), i havent tried for flat shift yet as im still running standard clutch until Helix arrives start of next week. Standard clutch cant take the power never mind flat shifting!!

Getting APR map on Thursday and id def have got flatshift if i could.. Mine is a K04d TSI though so is that going to be available?

Dont Forge do discharge/ throttle pipe kits for S3? I recently bought the kit for Mk6 Golf around £180.. Made a noticeable difference and thats before ive even fitted K04. :)

Maybe the old chap has went in saying "give it a full service", how do we actually know? I agree it sounds dodgy but we dont actually know the circumstances and the guy calling them cowboys doesnt even know that a 1.8T has a timing belt!

A 1.8 20v has a timing belt, that is basic knowledge that you dont know yourself.... So you should maybe call them for an explanation since they know more than you..

The TTE 420 compressor outlet could be modified to fit TSI, just like required on a K04 unless you buy a proper kit. Im building my own kit. Ive modified the K04 to fit the TSI instead of buying an expensive kit out the box!

Fitting K04 to Mk6 Golf involves cutting the silencer off the compressor housing to fit the TSI block anyway, so thatll be long gone. Lol! The S3 got plastic intercooler to inlet pipe or they upgraded from standard compared to Golf etc? Upgrade just bigger diameter? We getting wheel pic...

What discharge pipes yous guys been looking at? What negative effect did intercooler-intake pipe have? Ive bought Forge boost pipes to get rid of the pancake pipes (a Golf has), but S3 pipes are tubular standard anyway? Are the upgrades on S3 just bigger diameter?

He did say it has cut back blades to help spool and a 16psi actuator. Not a hybrid though. Thats all i know. Maybe theyre kind rollers ..

Yes but all im saying is a TSI with a K04 should make better power than a K04 TFSI, from what ive seen. Nothing more than that.. :)
