My S3 8P has just started revving by itself on idle. jumping from arounf 900rpm to 1100rpm. Anyone have any idea what it might be? I've done limited research online and a PCV seems to be cropping up alot? Any help is appreciated

Hi, I have a 56 plate S3 which has the mesh around the fog lights. The 8P2 S3 design looks alot smarter in my opinion. Can i just swap these over to the give the front a lift?

That's all I'm bothered about. It's just my BNS was playing up earlier this week, I couldn't turn that off, I could hear interference coming out the speakers when the key was out and it drained my battery. Don't want the same happening

I've just bought the Sat Nav Plus RNS-E which is great. However when I pull the key out the display turns off but I can still hear the fan going really faintly and when I turn it on it appears immediately it's not booting up like it should? This happened the other day with my BNS 5.0 sat nav so...

I've got a basic sat nav system in my S3 which for some reason won't respond to me changing the volume, it just says it's on mute. All I can hear is slight interference though whether it's on or off. This won't change with the volume either. I've tried resetting it though the menu and there is...

Right so far I've decided on these: - Cup holder dash mod (thanks Smurfworth) - pressed metal plates (when my private plate comes through) - light window tint all round - upgrade to Sat Nav Plus And maybe for the future, money permitting - facelift lights - facelift bumper - change alloys...

Thanks for the reply! I'll check your thread now. I'm undecided on a remap, I had my old golf GTI remapped and it seemed less refined in a way after that. Jerky gear changes etc. though it doesn't rule it out, I'd want it done properly on a rolling road I think

Had my S3 8P now for about a month. Its totally standard at the moment but wanna do some subtle mods to it. Though I have no idea where to start! Any ideas or pics would be greatly appreciated :beerchug:

Thinking of a getting a Milltek non resonated cat back exhaust for my S3. Just wanted to hear peoples opinions on them? I want it have a bit more grunt, exhaust tone seems a little flat and quiet compared to my old standard 1.8T Golf. Though I certainly don't want some embarrassing whine...
