Sorry to hear that's happened. Regarding the window side of it, I'm an ex Firefighter and have personally seen this done to gain entry to a house by a Window fitter. It doesn't take long at all and isn't too difficult to perform with the right tools plus it can be difficult to see once reinstated.

Thanks, i may look into this in the future at some point as it will mean i dont have to lean across the car when putting it in the garage.

That might explain it more as my A3 is a 68 plate but registered in February... might have to invest in folding mirrors then

So Carista support have finally come back to me stating I need memory seats to have the mirror dip. I have also now done the indicator change to 4x flashes and set the beep on unlock. The odd thing is the beep on lock shows in the MMI but unlock doesn't... Going to have another look at what...

Hi I have read this and experienced this in the Sport I took for a test drive. Luckily mine didnt do this when I took it for the test drive and doesn't do it currently so suspect it didnt have the issue or has had the update applied.

I am selecting the mirror and dipping it. I'll try again when I can and see if I can get it working

I have tried it with it central, put the car to reverse then selecting the mirror, then dipping the mirror. I have tried it with the engine running and off... Ill try again as I had the Dongle attached and wonder if it needs to be disconnected to take effect once set...

I just dont seem to be able to set the mirror. I wonder if I have set "too" many options in the Carista for the dipped mirror for it to work... I might try one at a time...

Ive collected it today and already set the beep on lock and needle sweep. Sadly the mirror dip on reverse doesnt seem to work, could be that I dont have the folding mirrors. I have the puddle lights but no projectors, im tempted to ge tthe S-Line ones off ebay

Picked up my 'newish' A3 S-Line 35 this morning from the dealer. So far only had a 20 minute trip to work after collection but it's much better than my old 8P 1.6 TDI. Already done the beep on lock, needle sweep. Looking at doing a few more changes in my carista app. Quite tempted by the S-Line...

Further to my post above, I do not have folding mirrors so looking through some previous posts I may not have the required parts to set this. Also I have noticed that setting items with the App doesn't always take effect, for instance the beep on lock.

I have just tried the mirror dip on my A3 S-Line 68 plate, however I cannot get it to work. I have put the car into reverse, selecting the near side mirror and dipping it to the possition but this doesnt seem to take... I helped someone with an S3 check their and managed to set up theirs all OK...

Well I took a look at the car yesterday and took it for a drive, very happy with the car so now proceeding to purchase with part ex of my old 8P. I'm looking forward to using it for the daily drive to work, one question for you others with similar style/engine drive select are you finding any...

As I'm getting rid of my 8P I will be looking to sell my spare set of SE 16" alloy wheels. I have no photos at the moment, I will need to check for Mark's plus gauge the current tyres for any life left. If anyone is interested let me know before I look at putting then on facebook and Ebay.
