I test drove one before I bought the 2.0 TDI SE. It had all the toys but just felt a bit dark and bland inside. The drive also felt a bit clunky and unrefined so I went for the Audi.

Has the power steering unit been inspected at all? Sounds like the steering rack could have been damaged during the incident with the pot holes if the vibration is worse when turning. Also, check the power steering fluid and make sure it's not losing any if the pump is damaged. Hope you find...

Is this just the auto hand brake release when you pull away? i just thought it was a standard feature?

sorry but the whole scene is about form over function! love the wheels on that one but 10J is a bit extreme, it must steer like a bus! :racer:

looking forward to seeing the write up and parts list! i fancy doing this myself and if you get AMI and DAB thrown into the mix for under £1500 I don't think that's too bad.

I'm interested in the whole hex shaft issue. I'm assuming this is the issue with the oil pump and was on the B7's or do I have to live in fear of my B8 packing up??
