Hi all,
I'm back again after having a bmw for a year after my Audi b6. We have just picked up a 12 plate Audi A3 black edition. I'm wanting to retrofit some equipment like cruise control and rns-e and any other good stuff that can be done to them. Thanks in advance for any advice
Stu
I've got it up now duck taped in to place till my new regulator comes. Just watched this http://youtu.be/1YHB1y2lZrs
Looks I will have a fun evening this week when it arrives
As per the title when I'm trying to put it up I'm getting a crunching noise from the motor or behind it where I can see something blue there. Any ideas how to get it up?
How do I find out I've got the correct part number?
The ones on the car
N/s 8e0407271at
O/s 8e0407272at
Just want to make sure I've got the right ones on the car to start with. There's quite a bit of play side to side on the n/s one and I think this is the cause of the rattling underneath...
I'm going to change it I've got a shake on tick over that's getting worse plus it's leaking red fluid out of it. Going to change the front snub bush too as that's showing signs of deterioration.
After noticing an annoying creaking on the front end and changing all the arms, today I've done the arb bushes and noticed the n/s eingine mount looking abit deflated from the top with red stuff weeping out of the bottom of it. Could this be the creaking issue
Mine had a shake on tickover. Had the timing belt and water pump done today. The mechanic said the water pump pulley was moving all over the shake has now gone and is running smoother. Just another idea for you
I fitted a set on a b5.5 passat without removing the pinch not sure if it the same process. But I compressed the spring in place and that gave me enough room to undo the top arms. It's awkward to get the strut out but saves messing about. There's a guide for it somewhere I just can't find it
