tps would the best place to buy the bits.They will sell you a genuine cam belt kit which would have all guide pulleys and tensioner and belt. The other things to ask for is a water pump and auxiliary belts.

i have worked on a few diesel golfs with the same fault which turned out to be a fuse,i think from memory the fuse was marked as being for the cooling fan,no mention of the intake manifold flap but when fuse was replaced the v157 fault would clear.

No it doesn't need to be audi,as for cleaning the egr with the battery connected shouldn't hurt as long as the ignition was switched off.get the code checked and go from there.
The bit with the big flap is the throttle flap the bit with the small flap and rod is the egr,if you have forced either one it may have damaged the internals,best thing to do is to get it on a scanner and see what fault codes are present.
