Sorry for the late Reply. It ended up costing me £400 not sure if it was mates rates or not.

Finally got the diff fixed, I took my car to a local garage as my dad knows they guys that work their. It turns out that the inner bearing on the diff was shot, so they replaced this and the noise has now gone. So just to let anyone on here know to make sure that you get a decent dianostics done...

Hi I want to get lowering springs for my s3 8p Which has done 45000 so i was wondering if it would be better to get the H&R cup kit rather than just the springs what would you recommend. also i know it will make it stiffer but will it change the ride comfort much compared to standard. Thanks James
