    New Tax Rates 2017

Well it was in the July 2015 budget, so pretty unlikely that it won't happen. Budgetary changes tend to happen (unless voted down by either house, but the upper House shouldn't interfere in financial matters), as opposed to manifesto promises...

S3 2014 model Haldex oil change?.

Haldex is now time based rather than mileage based, so 3 years (is not normally included in a Service Plan) for the first oil change.

Has the new TTRS really got 395 BHP?

It's more than that. The engine itself is 26kg lighter than the old engine. Hopefully there might also be revised engine mounting position, to bring it rearwards (maybe too hopeful). The current RS3 engine is a heavy lump that overhangs the front axle, which is not a great position. Yes, the...

Has the new TTRS really got 395 BHP?

Plus - the new 2,5l engine will also feature direct and indirect injection - at a stroke (pun intended) - eliminating all those coking up problems that have plagued the Audi FSI/TFSI engines for years.

Has the new TTRS really got 395 BHP?

The Number 1 reason going for this 2,5l engine in the RS3 is the aluminium construction, and weight saving. The additional horses are nice to have, but the key advantage of the new engine in the RS3 is to reduce all that weight over the front axle. Who knows, it might even reduce the...

2015 A3 (with Nav) - few MMI questions

Yes, I think NAR has Sirius XM traffic, but I'm not sure how this integrates with the Nav on MMI. Not sure if it actually does, think it may just give you info. But from MY2015, you should have INRIX traffic anyway...

Ending a Lease Early - VWFS Settlement Figure

Bear in mind, that as long as you have paid half the amount of the total amount payable, you can just hand the keys back and walk away. Chances are that if you are 2/3 the way through the PCP (if it is a PCP and not a lease) - you may have already have paid half that amount. So - hand keys...

    S3 Tyres...

As a side note, Conti CS5's regularly come out near the top of tyre tests. 2 points on the tests..... 1. They are done with the standard CS5's, not the CS5 AO that come with our cars 2. They are not done on tyres that have done some mileage. ie: Repeat the test with tyres that have done 5000...

    S3 Tyres...

ContiSport 5's on the S3 are utter tripe for me. Definitely not suited to hard driving. A set has lasted me 12,000 miles. Poor grip, both wet and dry. Noisy. AO compound also goes harder quicker that GY or M, even with plenty of depth left on them. More Conti tripe experiences...

    Replacing a tyre

As stated, every tyre manufacturer in the world advise new tyres to the rear. Also: 1. It's more instinctive for a driver to lift off when under steering to bring it back into line, this is what the vast majority of the public would do when a car gets out of shape. Most (new) drivers would not...
