You can just replace the micro switch, can't remember what side mine was that went but I bought 8D0827565D & 8D0827359A (ones the switch one is the seal) I seem to remember each side has a different part number though. edit: BAM 52 S3 btw!
Hi,
Just had the engine cover off, because the car is running with almost no boost. No error codes listed in VCDS (Genuine cheers NHN) and looking at fuel trims looks like its got a air leak. Using a can of carb cleaner, i've found the leak, and part is ordered.
This looks like an aftermarket...
Been thinking about getting this done for a while, always use it to keep to speed limits lol. Its one of those debates... £120 fitted in Manchester (199 miles) vs Hazzydays who will come to my door for £245 or £222 if I goto Luton (60 miles). Gotta love living in West Suffolk!

I use the Alpine IDA-X305s and love it. (Newer version of tuffy's) You can download different wallpapers for the background of the screen so its not "too red". I would make sure if you wire any headunit in you run the feed from the lights otherwise they will blind you at night!
Dave
It's under the light, so no lining removing required. I loosened the bolt then put the new rubber in hot water it then went over a treat! Then tightened up.
Well i've finally got round to fitting the Brembo's. Once I finally got the system bled correctly (God those master cylinder nipples are a nightmare!) all is good.
I had a set of FK 8mm spacers which I used (FK013 08) which vibrate like a good'ern over 60. I've made sure the mating is clean...
Hi,
I emailed Bill at 11:55, (sales@badger5.co.uk) got a reply at 12:19 and ordered by phone by 13:00, for exactly these brake lines, try email or call him. He doesn't bite!
Dave
He's within 45 mins to me, I did once send him a message asking for the price of a strut brace, as mine was missing, Cost? £100. Cost new retail? £75. Excuse? He can make £100 exporting the parts! Suffice to say I left it!
On my old corsa, you could lift the gater and put a pin in the linkage just before reverse, you would then tighten all the linkage fully tight in its optimal placement. Dunno if anything i available for the VAG boxes?
Dave
I believe to get all the financial advisor support from the lottery operator you have to go public. If not your on your own so to speak (Imagine being on your own with 100+ million, know where i'd start - a little car garage in Long Stratton......)
Dave
I Did do a little reading, and i'd rather err on the side of caution and get spacers.
H&R hubcentric seem ok? Any options on rubbing / handling on 10mm fronts, 15mm rears?
Cheers for the help
Dave
Darn! After visiting my local scrappy, I seem to have come away with a set of LCR Brembo, carriers, discs and pads!
Lines were shot, so i've ordered a set of lines from Bill.
Now my S3 has 18" RSTT wheels (Assuming genuine as ETKA says it was a factory option for my VIN) will I need spacers...
I have never heard this pump, infact didn't even know it had one :( Guess mines not working then, anyone got an image of where the pump is? Incase its just stuck and needs some gentle persuasion? From reading some threads I've checked the fuses on top near the battery and they all appear fine!
Dave
Hi,
Cheers buddy as I thought, just making sure.
I'll take some photo's etc when I install it - looks like the difficult part is getting to it, rather than the wiring itself.
Dave
Hi,
The part number you supplied is just the relay, did you buy 000 998 229 or 000 998 229 A? (The A terminates to a block, the other is just cable tails)
Think 000 998 229 would be easier to install, assuming thats what you used?

Hi,
I had the pc9-410 using GLI's connected to a fully bose system, and the sound was appalling. GLI's although they stop the popping, they also play with the sound shape meaning everything is flat. I even bought adjustable GLI's to allow me to tweak the exact amount of filtering and I still...
Hi,
I've got a set of infinity kappa 50.9cs sitting in a box never been used as I never got round to fitting them in my old motor.
Plan in making it my bank holiday Monday job to replace and rewire all the speakers in the car (full Bose, aftermarket hu so will be fully rewiring to a standard...
