I hit driveshaft to change bumpers to paint hoping to have time to repaint the n/s and refit the two day old splitter (thanks love lol) See you all there everyone looking bleary eyed and still bolting stuff on whilst parking up lol

Had a quick look and there seems to be some play in the bearings on the os inner cv joint but only marginally more than the other side. Everything points to it being that. The noise etc... Screams cv joint. Are they the same as r32 and lcr? Cheers jaz

Just a quick question I have a 2000 s3 and on Sunday it developed a noise that seems to be coming from the drivers side front. It sounds like wheel loose/cv joint but doesn't do it all the time, mainly does it in 3rd and 4th only when using the throttle although regardless of how much throttle...

Mine has just developed a knocking upon acceleration and steering now only when on throttle regardless of how much throttle but if off throttle or braking. I think it's a cv joint is this a common problem? Cheers jaz
