B8.5 S4 mirror indicator strip replacement.

I’m in need of just the drivers side to replace a faulty one on my ‘14 A4 3.0 TDI Black edition (I think they’re same part?) if you still have them available?

    10mm wheel spacers

Hi Damian, Does this also apply to the rear of the B8? I’ve just bought some of your 10mm spacers for the rear of my ‘64 plate 3.0tdi Quattro (new brake kit won’t fit without them!) but hadn’t considered the lip issue...

arrrgh - car problems just before sale! (1.8T QS)

That ABS problem is a very popular one on cars of our age. It's caused by two extremely small wires in the ABS 'module (on the side of the pump) coming away from the board inside... there was a guide on here somewhere a long time ago about how to DIY repair it... quite simple really if you have...

    Squealing

I've just fitted a lightweight aluminium flywheel and 4-puck clutch (from ATP in the states), new release bearing etc. and have an absolutely horrible squaling noise when I pull off... as described above the noise is even worse if I'm very careful when letting the clutch out... if I dump it then...

    Priming/Bleeding Fuel System

Hi guys, Does anyone have a definitive (or even basic!) guide to the above on a VAG 1.9 turbo diesel engine?? Procedure to follow, things to look out for etc. May also be helpful for others if there was a sticky to this effect in the forum. Cheers Tim

Starting problem after engine mounting bolts snapped

Ok pump timing is easy enough to adjust, via the adjustable pulley that drives it which is run from the cam pully via the belt. That explains why a cambelt change would affect the fuel pump timing also. Hard to see why though if eveything was marked properly before it was taken off! :p I...

Starting problem after engine mounting bolts snapped

Ok, not to worry. But thanks for the input, much appreciated. Gives me a few ideas... Anyone else?? There's got to be someone surely! :-)

Starting problem after engine mounting bolts snapped

Thanks for the pointers dude... how do I check the fuel pump timing?? And why would it be out now? Fuel hoses are ok, I disconnected them further back at the unions near the engine mounting itself... there was a bit of air to begin with but I cranked the car quite a bit so it's pumped through...

Engine won't run after mounting bolts sheared :-(

Hi all, Got a probelm I need some advice with. Apologies in advance for the essay! Here's the lowdown... I recently replaced the engine mounting bolts on the driver's side of a friends 1999 A3 1.9tdi because somehow they sheared! He has absolutely no idea about cars whatsoever so I stepped in...

    s4 brake calipiers

I'm sure you can fit any calipers to any car providing you have... a) large enough wheels to accomodate the larger calipers and, b) the correct mounting brackets either supplied or made... as to whether they'll fit out of the box I don't know, sorry! But my guess would be no since the mounting...

Rear lock plinth on boot lid (rust)

I have the same problem... damn thing! It's all getting touched up pretty soon though because some total a*se lorry driver (sorry if anyone drives a lorry for living! lol) wiped out the front end of my parked car a few months ago and ******** off! :motz: Managed to track the sod down...

    Bumper Carrier

Hi guys, Does anyone know if bumper carriers are available as a seperate item from Audi or do they only come as part of the bumper? If anyone has ETKA or similar and fancies taking a quick look for me, the part number for the carrier to suit a MY2000 A4 1.8 Turbo Quattro would be most...

    Calling all plumbers!

Hmmm... I think I've narrowed it down to the 3-way valve, but need to spend £80 on replacing it to find out for sure! It operates when out of the body and also when in the body but out of the water line... I have a suspicion that the solenoid is breaking down under load and therefore the valve...

Central Locking Pump - Shattered Impeller - Audi A4

That was me! I simply used the PCB from my original unit which involved de-soldering just two wires and the pump from the donor unit and hey presto, a working pump! :) You will need your original PCB because most are only compatible with the same model they came out of, my donor was EXACTLY...

    1-2-Raymie S4 Sideskirts

Pretty much, but like I said it's flush across the car... same distance from each headlight etc. to front of bumper. I think it needed trimming a little more around the arch curve at the factory... didn't notice until it was fitted. I'll make sure I check it better next time! ;)

    1-2-Raymie S4 Sideskirts

No, not OEM, it's a Reiger RS4 replica... and that is a damn good spot on the front wheel! Funnily enough I had spotted the same thing after we fitted it and was under the car in a pit... you could see it when comparing the two sides. I think it's a manufacturing anomaly because the bumper is...

    1-2-Raymie S4 Sideskirts

Cheers dudes! Car needs a damn good clean at the moment... it's totally covered in dust. I have a skip company right opposite my house that just cakes the car in dust every coupla days, HIGHLY annoying! Also need to fix/replace the RS4 front bumper... a slight encounter with a badger :mad...

Yeah I was thinking the same... each to their own etc. :) I love the smooth look myself hence removing the mouldings. The pre-facelift models didn't have any mouldings oddly enough...
