Thanks Oddie, I read something similar that said turn the key to first position and then hold the fob lock button for 30 seconds followed by the unlock button for 30 seconds, I'll give it a try unless anyone else knows different ?.

I did a search and I'm sure it's on here somewhere but anyway, I removed the battery to clear out the drain plugs and now the central locking isn't working from the fob, works on the key though so what's the correct way to reset so it works from the fob ?. Cheers.

U.S and Canada as far as I'm aware. I mailed Audi customer service to ask about this and got a phone call from an arrogant advisor that refused to give me their full name, apparently it's not an issue in the U.K so we wont benefit from the 120k warranty extension here.

I checked the fuel pump follower on my 2.0 TFSI engine and fortunately it was in good condition, as a precaution I fitted a new one anyway. I think it's unlikely Audi USA/Canada are making warranty decisions without authorisation from Germany.

Sounds like it's a keeper unless someone wants to pay you top dollar, not sure how a chipped diesel would drive in comparison to the 1.8T, probably 15 mpg better though which could add up if you do enough miles.
