    Exporting A6 to Perth, Aus

Thanks guys! I'll drop her a PM and see what she did. On the car ownership side, you have to own your car for 12 month prior to exporting, that much I did find out, along with the shipping costs. Just after the requirements and costs after docking. Cheers

    Exporting A6 to Perth, Aus

Hi, Just wondering if anyone here has any experience or knows anyone who has exported their car to Australia? We'll be relocating in March and I don't want to sell my beloved A6, especially after checking out second hand values over there and seeing that they're considerably higher than here...

    18s not lowered

I've decided to stick with the stock 17"s with 55 profile tyres, had a S-line A4 avant for a couple of days as a courtesy car whilst mine was in and have to admit the ride was a little bit harder on the 18"s than I'd expected, felt every bump going the usual routes which I normally didn't notice.

    Audi extended warranty

Hi warrencox, Thanks for the reply, been off with the kids so no chance of internet access! Thanks for sharing your thoughts, sounds like a good idea to me, instead of paying the circa £700 in one go for the cover, I'll put aside £70 a month into another account and take my chances, just as...

    Audi extended warranty

Has anyone here taken out the Audi extended warranty? If so, what are your experiences? I've had my A6 for a year now and it's promted a letter from them regarding the warranty, logged on and entered details which returned a figure of £550pa with a 15k mile limit, just wondered if this was worth...

    18s not lowered

Ah I understand now, but I'm guessing that larger wheels will fill the gap slightly. What are your thoughts on 18"s with 45 profiles, slightly harder ride but not as harsh as the 19"s and not as comfy as the 17"s, or just a minor difference in ride comfort?

    One to avoid...

Nice one, thanks for sharing. Is there a thread where this local recommended garages can be listed? Probably be helpful to all if there was another for garages to avoid too!

    18s not lowered

I posted the same question, would like to move to 18"s but worried about the ride on lower profile tyres. Currently on 17"s but there's a HUGE gap between wheel and arch, think the 18"s would fill this nicely. Someone mentioned that it was dodgy buying replicas, can't understand how though, yes...

    Bird Poo!

Better clean it off asap, I had a huge load land on my bodywork, unfortunately didn't get round to washing it off for a few days, when I did found that it had taken the top coating of laquer off, not sure what to do now!?

    2nd Post...the Saga...Allroad A6 2.5 TDI 180 51 Reg

Sounds like you've had a right nightmare! What's the score now SMCC to recover your losses? Or are they denying responsibility? I think if they don't turn up to the hearing it'll be awarded in your favour anyway, so here's hoping.

    New alloys

That's the thing, I love driving on the motorway after previously using a Saab 93 for motorway journeys, it's such a breeze and effortless in the A6, I don't want anything to affect the ride. Thought you'd say that, does finish the car off a bit better with bigger nicer alloys doesn't it? I've...

    New alloys

I'm sure a few of you have done this so hoping to draw on some experience. Currently I've got 17"s on the car with 225/50 tyres. If I were to go up to 18"s does this mean that I'd just need to drop down to 225/45's to keep the same ratio? And to those who are wearing 45's, how's the ride...

Conspiracy - China Preparing for nuclear war?

There's no conspiracy here. After what they've achieved in the last couple of decades, do you really think they're stupid enough to think that what they have build would survive a nuclear holocaust in order house their people afterwards? Come on! It's just good planning. People in remote...

    replica watches

Guess it depends on the quality of the replica? I bought a Bvlgari from Hong Kong a few years back for £25 and it was spot on, engravings in all the right places, weight and it kept time impeccably. Didnt' think anything of it until shopping a Gucci watch for the wife in one of those places...

    A6 vs BMW 5 (E60) Series

How did it go with the test drive? Having got an A6 saloon as a family car I wished I'd gone for the estate now, would have to recommend you getting one especially if you're going to be dragging the buggy in and out of the boot along with associated baggage. Could flog you my saloon and go buy...

how do i find a trustworthy boiler engineer who is not going to rip me off

Is it a Potterton boiler by any chance? Same happened to us in the middle of the freeze a few weeks back, had no choice but to take out the service scheme and they sent someone round the next day, he replaced the circuit board and the clock. Am now paying £20 a month for the cover which includes...
